I had a splendid time at the Malaeloa Methodist Church. Not only was the music by our group and the church choir good but the spoken word by the reverend was very educational and different from other sermons that I've heard before. When he spoke about the different types of music and the new page of music that was turned at the birth of Christ. New songs sung by the angels at His birth. It was a very educational, I learned a new word "Barak" it means blessed or in Samoan "Amuia"

hahha sorry class for the small gift. I didn't know there would be two things going on that Sunday - The alofa and the Choir's Anniversary. So half goes to the faifeau and the other to the choir. But I hope $100 for the faifeau will help with something small during the week. Manuia.

The service we attended at the Malaeloa Methodist Church was not only an educational one but also a spiritual one. I liked the items performed by the Sunday School, they sang beautifully and it was very uplifting. I also think their choir sang beautifully and we did a good job too. I am thankful for the sermon that was preached that Sunday, it was very interesting. The whole srevice was beautiful and I had a great time and I am thankful that the MMC let us join them that day. Thank You Dr.Pouesi for the small contribution you gave for the church.

Listening to this magnificent piece conjures in me feelings as is precisely noted “Love Songs of Samoa” it surely invoked loving memories of family members and friends that have passed on and the hope to be able to see or be with them soon. I truly felt the love that the composer had put into creating this beautiful Samoan masterpiece. Bravo Dr. Namulauulu!
Now analyzing the performance style of this beautiful song; this piece is played entirely using the piano. The beginning started with a slow pace melodic style which descended as if it was coming to an end quickly and then started to ascended in a consonant or harmonies that makes one think that there is a race for time and it brought to mind the dynamics of this music and how well it is put together; softness building up to a crescendo. As the music progresses towards the ending the timbre of this piece combined in such a way that it is almost as if there is countering the fact that this must come to an end, as in a well known saying “all good things must come to an end”. There were dissonant chords towards the end of this music and it is so beautiful put together that it again surprising so makes me realized that as much as I don’t want things to end, the music came together at the end beautifully and ended with such sadness for me.
